Exploring Espresso

Espresso: the word conjures up images of $2000 machines, smug baristas, undrinkably bitter coffee, and $5-a-cup fancy drinks.

No more! Let us free you from espresso opression! Vietnamese espressos are some of the world's most flavorful, aromatic, smooth and rich and you deserve to experience them. Fortunately, espresso is easier and more economical than it seems.

While it is true that a top-of-the-line espresso maker may be necessary to extract flavor from a less-flavorful bean, our espressos do not require anything special. In fact, we use a little $60 countertop espresso-maker right here in the office to test our own products, and it has never disappointed us. Amazon sells a similar model that is worth trying.

Making espresso is easy, too; it's a simple matter of filling the chamber with finely-ground coffee, locking it in place, adding water to the machine, and pressing the ON button. A few minutes later, the whooshing of the steam lets you know that the machine is brewing, and when it stops you are all done - how simple is that!

Once you have your espresso brewed, you can choose to do anything you like with it. Use the leftover steam to froth some milk for a cappuccino, add ice for a fantastic iced coffee, make a latté, mix in a flavored liquor like Irish Cream for a dessert drink, put it in the blender with cream, sugar, and ice to make your own blended iced coffee... The possibilities are endless! Never again will you have to pay coffeeshop prices to enjoy a special drink, and your espresso will be higher-quality than theirs, too.
